Does my AI-system fall under the EU-AI-Act?
The AI-Act applies in general to every AI-system. AI system means a machine-based system that is designed to operate with varying levels of autonomy and that may exhibit adaptiveness after deployment, and that, for explicit or implicit objectives, infers, from the input it receives, how to generate outputs such as predictions, content, recommendations, or decisions that can influence physical or virtual environments. In case the AI system you are using has a level of autonomy and can adapt after deployment, it is likely, that it must meet the requirements of the AI-Act. For example If the AI-system only takes information without explaining the information with its own words or without giving advice on the basis of the information it may not be considered an AI system by the European Commission.
